In the course of just 24 hours, we have seen 20 great games made by NUS students, showing us amazing creativty and talent. This year's game jam/hackathon theme is 'Close Enough'. You can check out our students' games at https://itch.io/jam/gamecraft2016

To the participants: In this 24 hours, you have experienced what it feels like to work on a game development project, from ideation to development and production. Along the way, you might face creative blocks, bugs, and many frustrations. But at the end of the gruelling day, you are rewarded with smiles as you watch others play the game that YOU made! It was a joyous experience with each other's presence, all of us working together to make VIDEO GAMES.

So I say, no matter if you are a 'winner' or not, keep that 'Certificate of Participation' well. When the time comes for you to decide whether to further pursue your interest in games development, reflect on the fun, happiness and laughter we had all experienced in the past 24 hours. As long as you hold on to the memories (and certificate), you are a 'winner'!

Thank you to all the participants, sponsors and judges for making GameCraft!2016 a success! Singapore's game industry is a small place, but this joyous event shows how heart-warming this small place can be.
